2010 New Product Sneak Peek
Painless’ staff has been hard at work for this latter half of 2009 to bring some very innovative products to the market in the first quarter of 2010. Our engineers’ focus was shifted to solid state electronics and how that technology could be used to benefit our customers and installers. So, they looked at what new production vehicles offer as creature comforts and then devised some very innovative products that make it easy to enjoy these on just about any classic hot rod or off road vehicle. Let’s take a look at what they came up with…
Our first new product to sneak a peek at is the 63041 Painless Convenience Module. This totally solid state controller works with a vehicle’s existing wiring. Connections are made to a vehicle’s headlight switch, ignition switch and radio. An alarm buzzer is mounted under the dash and a light sensor can be mounted on top of the dash or the a-pillar. The kit comes complete with wire harness, wire taps and mounting hardware. Conveniences programmed into this PCM include: Dome light dim out; Headlight shut off delay; Radio power is timed out; Automatic headlights; Turn signals chime and Headlight switch chime. Our second new product to sneak a peek at is the 30140 F5 Dual Fan Controller. Electric cooling fans have become a mainstay when it comes to keeping any type of project vehicle’s engine cool. This state of the art fan control system includes a weather proofed and under hood rated solid state pulse width modulation controller, 3/8 NPT threaded temperature sensor, large gauge fan wires and a labeled vehicle integration wire harness, mounting hardware and weatherproof circuit breaker and connectors. The 30140 F5 Dual Fan Controller is rated to control two 35 Amp cooling fans. Controller features include stepped fan control such as controlling fan #1 from 50% up to 99% and then bringing in fan #2 if more cooling is needed or the A/C is kicked on. Also available in a single fan control configuration that can handle a single 70 Amp cooling fan such as those found on many late model Ford vehicles. The third product sneak peek is at our 40120 Digital Power Manager. This solid state dual battery controller eliminates manual switching and any second guessing when using a secondary battery in any vehicle. Included in the kit is the weather proof Digital Power Manager, battery cables, terminals, heat shrink, mounting hardware and an indicator light.
